Week 1 (Geology in My Life)

Image
I live in Orem, Utah. One thing I love about living in Orem is the beautiful view I have of the mountains. Mt. Timpanogos (the peak nearest to me) pertains to the Wasatch Mountain Range, which ranges from the border of Idaho and Utah to Central Utah. The Wasatch Mountain Range forms the western edge of the Rocky Mountains. Below is a picture of one of my friends in a favorite spot of ours to shoot shotguns in my grandma's hometown of  Santaquin, Utah. Behind him is Mt Nebo and at 11,928 feet it is the highest peak of all the Wasatch Mountains. The Wasatch front is home to a plethora of wildlife including: Mule Deer, Elk, Cougars, Coyotes and Barn Owls. In addition, the mountain range attracts Skiers from across the world for their flawless slopes.
